Powder cells are used for reflectance measurements on loose powders, crystalline materials, fiber, or other materials not easily compressed to pellet form. A consistent packing density can be achieved by controlling the amount of material used, giving reproducible results.
Each powder cell kit includes:
One 2″/50.8 mm diameter standard cell
One 3 mm deep cell
One 7 mm deep cell
Two removable Suprasil windows
Instructions for use
Typical reflectance data for the standard cell is provided in 5 nm intervals from 250-2500 nm. Cells are fabricated from Delrin and are quite chemically inert.
