Neutral density filters are useful in the calibration of photometric, spectrophotometric, or radiometric systems. Calibrated filters are used to assess the dynamic range of detectors and optical systems. A set of transmittance standards offers a convenient way of checking the performance of any spectrophotometer.<\/p>\n

Avian Technologies offers three types of filter:<\/p>\n

  • Schott Glass (TFS-NDG)<\/li>\n
  • Metal (Inconel) on Glass (TFS-ND)<\/li>\n
  • Metal on Quartz (TFS-NDU)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Filters are available in two formats<\/p>\n

    • 2\u201d square<\/li>\n
    • Standard 10mm cuvettes, canted to eliminate inter-reflection error<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Our filters are aged in an oxidizing atmosphere to aid in long-term stability.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

      Stock Neutral Density Filter Sets<\/h4>\n

      Sets are calibrated with tabular data at 20 nm intervals and digital data at 1 nm intervals, traceable to NRC\/NIST. All sets come boxed.<\/p>\n
